The body is seen in the yogic tradition as a complex network of energetic channels rather than merely a physical structure. At particular locations in the body called chakras, these energy channels, or nadis, converge. Every chakra is linked to various aspects of existence, such as mental clarity, emotional equilibrium, spiritual awakening, and physical well-being.
Chakra Dhyana, also known as energy center meditation, is a potent method that enables the practitioner to balance and awaken the body’s subtle energies. This meditation enhances one’s spiritual experience, clears blockages, and balances the body’s energies.
We can access the prana, or life force energy, that passes through us and achieve higher states of consciousness by practicing Chakra Dhyana. Meditation on the chakras is a voyage into the depths of our inner selves, with each chakra symbolizing a different facet of who we are.
Different levels of physical, emotional, and spiritual energy are represented by the seven primary chakras. From the base of the spine to the top of the head, they are positioned along the spinal column:
Root Chakra, or Muladhara
Where: The base of the spine
Element: Earth; Function: Stability and grounding
Red seed with the mantra Lam Svadhisthana (Sacral Chakra)
Location: The lower abdomen
Element: Water; Function: Emotions and creativity
Orange Seed Mantra: Vam Manipura (Solar Plexus Chakra)
Location: The upper abdomen
Fire is an element.
Function: Self-assurance and strength
Mantra: Ram Anahata (Heart Chakra) Color: Yellow Seed
Location: Chest center
Element: Air; Function: Compassion and Love
Mantra: Yam Vishuddha (Throat Chakra) Color: Green Seed

Light as an element; insight and intuition as functions
Location: top of the head; element: thought/spirit; function: spiritual connection; color: indigo; seed; mantra: Om Sahasrara (Crown Chakra);
Seed Mantra: Ah; Color: Violet/White
There is a continuum of these chakras. The flow of energy becomes harmonious when they are in balance and in alignment, which fosters spiritual development and general well-being.
The goal of the meditation technique known as Chakra Dhyana is to balance, activate, and heal the chakras. It consists of:

Concentrate on Feeling: Pay attention to the feelings, colors, and energies that emerge rather than merely thinking about the chakras.
Practice in Silence: A peaceful, distraction-free setting is ideal for Chakra Dhyana practice. Give yourself permission to enjoy the experience to the fullest.
When I concentrate on each chakra, what happens to me? Do any feelings or sensations surface?
In my experience, which chakra is most balanced or unbalanced? Why do I believe that to be the case?
What effects do the chakra-related colors and mantras have on my meditation experience?
After concentrating on the heart chakra (Anahata), what changes in emotions do I observe?
As I progress through each chakra, how does my breathing change? Does my energy seem different now?
